Air Design was established in 1979 and has become a leader in the manufacture and supply of air movement products in Queensland, Northern territory, Northern New South Wales and Papua New Guinea.
A lot of this success can be attributed to the Fantech range of fans that Air Design still distribute today. With such a dominant position in the fan market, Air Design identified Air Handling units as a product group which would compliment the Fantech range, assist it's existing client base, and allow a natural progression into other markets.
Two years of extensive research and development culminated in the development of the MODUTHERM air handling unit.
Inspired by Australia's harsh climatic conditions, Air Design engineers looked for ways to make the air handling unit stronger and more efficient, developing THERMAJOINT, a frame system of insulated extrusions which minimises cold tracking, whilst giving the unit a more robust structure.
The unique qualities of the MODUTHERM range have been supplemented by a comprehensive range of double skin and single skin air handling units.
